House Instructions

Welcome to my home!
I have created this list of instructions to help answer any questions you might have during your stay and some of my own personal recommendations to give you the best possible experience.
Instructions

The floors are concrete thru most of the home. It’s super easy to track in dirt and powder on the floors and it has nowhere to hide. I recommend removing your shoes prior to entering in order to make your stay more pleasurable.
- This helps keep the floors nice and neat during your stay. If you prefer to leave your shoes on in the house, please check the treads to make sure there are no rocks stuck in your shoes. Rocks will scratch the floor.
I have set the outdoor lights to come on around dusk and to turn off around 10:00 -10:30 pm. If you want to turn them off before that, there is a control outside the living room door. To turn them off push the button until the display reads F for OFF.
All of the fans are controlled by light switches.

Kitchen

The dishwasher is behind cabinet doors in the kitchen.
- The light switch on the wall above it turns it off.
- In order to run the dishwasher it needs to be in the on position.
Dish-washing liquid is in the dispenser next to the faucet.
Dish-washing detergent and additional soap is under the sink

Entryway

There are two West Elm Tillary Couches in the entryway. These can be used for additional sleeping areas as two twin beds or one king size bed.
In the closet on the right when you are facing the front door you’ll find:
- Twin mattress covers and sheets
- A King size mattress cover is in the cabinet above the closet.
  - A step stool is in the closet to access this.
In the cabinet on the left when facing the door you’ll find:
- There are games
- The Bose speakers and Onkyo radio on a roll around cart (good for outside).

Guest Bedroom

There is a queen size bed located in this room.
The walk in closet you’ll find the following:
- extra linens in the cabinets
- board games
The very bottom cabinet you’ll find:
- extra blankets
In the top cabinet you’ll find the following:
- on the bottom shelf are the king sheet sets
- on the middle shelf has the queen sheet sets and additional pillow cases

Guest Bathroom

The fan and light is the light switch by the door to the entryway
Soap, Shampoo, and Conditioner is kept in the shower for your convenience
The light over the mirror is controlled by the switch next to the pocket door
- If the light over the mirror stops working
  - push the reset button on the outlet next to the mirror
Under the sink in the cabinet you’ll find the following:
- Extra towels
- Washcloths
- Q-tips

Living room

Please make sure the furniture stays on the pads.
- The pads are kept there to keep the furniture from scratching the floor.
There are tons of movies in the TV cabinet and some more in the pantry
- the long skinny remote controls the TV
  - the DVD is hooked up to an HDMI port
- the short remote controls the DVD player
  - push OK to play the movie
- the BOSE remote controls the sound bar
- the tiny remote controls the outside candles
Under the bar in the cabinet you’ll find the following:
- LOTS of throws
  - the thick throws are nice for cozying up
  - for padding on the benches outside
    - they are not weather proof
    - they can NOT be put into the dryer – it will ruin them (throws are air dry only)
- Queen sheet set for the fold out couch
- Mattress cover for the fold out couch

Master Bedroom

There is a wall size pocket door to the master bedroom. If it is all the way in the wall, there is a place to pull it underneath the edge of the door by your hooked finger.
The tree lights have three settings
- The first click is –
  - On for 6 hours – then auto turn off - then turn on at exactly the same time the following day for six hours.
- The second click is --
  - Steady on
- The third click is --
  - OFF
